POTSDAM — Clarkson University Professor Sergiy Minko will speak at the Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI) in Santa Clara, Calif., in May. Minko is one of five speakers to present to 4, 000 attendees in the polymer nanotech symposium, one of the fastest growing areas of the nanotech conferences. All courses are presented by leading experts in their respective fields. Minko will discuss "Design and Fabrication of Nanopatterned Polymer Brushes with Applications as Switchable Microfluidics Gates." See Press Release TOP

POTSDAM — Nanorex Inc., the world's first developer of tools for the design, simulation and analysis of atomically precise molecular machine systems, has provided a one-year grant of NanoEngineer-1 software to Cetin Cetinkaya, associate professor of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Clarkson University. The $8,000 gift includes associated technical support. Cetinkaya will use the Computer-aided design (CAD) software in his senior level course Nano/Micro-Systems Engineering and in his nanotechnology research. See Press Release TOP
