POTSDAM — Clarkson University and the University of Ljubljana signed a memorandum of understanding to share academic ideas and students. Clarkson Distinguished Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and director of Clarkson University's Center for Air Resources Engineering and Science (CARES) has been elected a member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). POTSDAM — For the last two years, Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) has worked with the Material Handling Industry of America's College-Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) to further their outreach program to colleges and universities with material handling curricula. This year, MHEDA sponsored Clarkson University's Director of Interdisciplinary Engineering & Management (iE&M) degree program, Michael Ensby, to participate in this industry-education alliance with multiple aims designed to strengthen areas of mutual interest, including increasing the awareness and recognition of the industry and career possibilities among students and ensuring that curricula is compatible with current industry practices. POTSDAM — Clarkson University faculty members were recently inducted into the school's "Million Dollar Club" and "Multi-Million Dollar Club" for the significant amounts of external funding that their research has garnered. At an October 13 reception, the University president, provost, faculty and staff honored Bayard & Virginia Clarkson Biology Chair Edward Moczydlowski and Egon Matijevic Chair Sergiy Minko for their induction into the Million Dollar Club, and Robert A. Hill Professor/Distinguished University Professor/Dean of the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering Goodarz Ahmadi for his induction into the Multi-Million Dollar Club. See Press Release TOP
