Online applications should be submitted via the Innovation Economy Matching Grants Program Application Form.

The online application will require submission of the following:
a. A brief project abstract for the grant that explains the goals of the project that funds are being requested for (two-page maximum); and
b. A completed Application which must:
i. discuss the potential economic benefit to New York State;
ii. show a demonstrable tie to New York industry;
iii. describe the potential applications the research will have to industry;
iv. describe the competitive position of the researcher in comparison to others in the field; and
v. describe the existing academic/research/industrial assets available in New York State in the application’s particular research area.
Upon submission of the information listed above, New York will consider the application and may request further information or clarification of information. An individual at the applicant organization who has the legal authority to enter into contracts on behalf of the applicant must submit all applications.
