Dr. Roshan Jachuck researches process intensification focused on the fundamentals of fluid dynamics and transport phenomena research in reactor, separation, and heat exchanger technology.

Research Focus:

Dr. Rudolph L. Leibel’s research relates to the molecular genetics of two major, related health problems: type 2 diabetes and obesity. Dr. Leibel has extensive experience in, and ties to, industrial efforts in drug discovery related to diabetes and obesity. Dr. Leibel’s effort will characterize much future research in New York State biotechnology and pharmaceutical venues.

Dr. Harold G. Craighead has been responsible for widely recognized efforts in nanotechnology and nanobiotechnology. His recent research activity has been in the area of chemical and biological sensors and analyses. The faculty development award will enhance Dr. Craighead’s ability to develop new microfluidic and chip-based sensors and analytical systems.

Dr. Iwao Ojima’s is a leading scientist in the area of chemical biology and drug discovery. Dr. Ojima’s primary research interest is the design, synthesis, and structure-activity relationship of biologically active compounds of medicinal interest, with a major focus on discovery and development of new and potent taxoid anticancer agents, other anti-cancer agents, anti-thrombotic agents, cardiovascular agents, and various enzyme inhibitors.
